The Diploma in Business (Level 7) (DipBus7) provides career-minded students with a robust understanding of management theory and practice within commercial and noncommercial environments. On completion, graduates are prepared for management roles in their chosen industry.
OVERVIEW OF CORE COURSES
There are four core courses offered in the DipBus7 programme with students required to complete a minimum of three courses. These will be offered on a continuous rotation throughout the year with a core course offered each term. Students are able to do one elective course as a specialisation in a “strand.”
INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Innovation and Entrepreneurship encourages students to explore the process, opportunities and issues that exist when bringing innovative ideas to success and present a business model with a viable business plan for an innovative idea.
GOVERNANCE, LAW & ETHICS
The aim of this course is to provide students with a critical understanding of the concept of corporate governance and the relevance of law and ethics to contemporary business practice within a New Zealand context
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Human Resource Management allows students to develop an understanding of the roles, functions and application of Human Resource Management within contemporary New Zealand organisations.
OPERATIONS, RISK AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The aim of this course is to equip students analyse and plan the operations of an entity with consideration t5o risk and quality.
OVERVIEW OF ELECTIVE COURSES
Students are able to do an elective course with a specialisation in a “strand” or a course at level 5 to 7 from any of the EDENZ Colleges programmes to meet the Diploma in Business Level 7 qualification requirements.

FUNDAMENTALS OF TOURISM
The aim of this course is to examine concepts of global tourism and their application to the tourism industry in New Zealand.

ACCOUNTING FOR DECISION MAKING & SMALL BUSINESS
The aim of this course is for students to be able in analyse financial statements and reports for small entities and make recommendations based on budgets and taxation requirements.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Supply Chain Management equips students to excel in the workforce with crucial knowledge and skills to understand supply chain concepts and ideas through practical learning underpinned by a strong focus on communication and problem solving.

MANAGING PROJECTS
In Managing Projects, students are introduced to key skills and techniques required in the management of a project during the execution, monitoring and control and closing phases of project management.
